How to Add or Edit and Remove new Manager & Owner to your YouTube channel?
If you want to add or edit or remove new owner to your YouTube Channel. You can have more than one person to manage a YouTube channel, and that you can assign different permissions and roles depending on your needs.
Did you know that there are two types of channels, Personal YouTube channels, and brand accounts. Let’s start with the process to add or remove Managers & Owners.
To add New Managers & Owners :
- Go to YouTube studio.
- From YouTube studio screen, you want to click on the Settings button in the bottom left-hand corner.
- Click Permissions.
- Click Invite and enter the email address of the person you’d like to invite.
- Below that is an Access drop-down which gives you the options to select the role you’d like to assign to this person.
- Click Done.
To remove or change Managers & Owners :
If you want to remove or want to change user access then follow these easy setup.
- Go to YouTube studio.
- From YouTube studio screen, On the left-hand side, click Settings.
- Click Permissions.
- Go to the person you’d like to remove and click the Down arrow.
- Select a new role or click Remove access.
Those with owner access have full access to the YouTube channel, and can also change the permission of other managers on the channel. Managers have full access to the YouTube channel, also managers for personal accounts cannot yet access the live control room, and they cannot access the personal account through the YouTube studio app.
